Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming and Introduction to Styling

This qualification is new and is taken over a period of 15 days in our school for the theoretical and practical and theoretical elements, and also includes extra theory work to be done at home). You will get to groom at least 10 dogs of 6 different breeds or more during this course. You do not need previous experience, nor to have completed a level 2 course prior to starting this level 3 course.

Once you have obtained this qualification, you can continue on to a Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management and become a 'Fully Qualified Dog Groomer'.

This course will enable you to learn practical skills such as prepping, bathing, drying, scissoring, clipping and nail trimming.

This qualification includes:

• Health and Safety in a Dog Grooming Environment
• Promoting Dog Welfare conforming with Relevant Legislation
• Assessing and Planning Dog Grooming Styles and Maintenance of Equipment
• Canine Behaviour, Health Checking, Correct Handling of Dogs
• Preparing, Styling and Finishing a variety of Dog Breeds

You will not have to sit a stressful exam in order to pass this qualification as you will be assessed throughout the course for the practical side and through your coursework, an approach very much liked by groomers worldwide. We adapt to your way of learning to take the pressure off, so do not hesitate to let us know what you need.

Through this course you will become competent and confident in styling a selection of dog breeds to the requirements of the client. Those wishing to further their learning after this qualification will be able to register on the Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management for £1850 for an additional 15 days.

In order to take this course and qualification, you need to be able to attend either of our Kent or Cheshire grooming schools for the practical training. Both UK and international students welcome.
